Just wandering, mine`s 10 and looks and seems fine, he has a few lumps on his body but the vets says all collies get them and its not worth worring about.
My Puppy is 12,5 and she's doing well. Mostly people don't believe that she is 12. She's retired in agility, but she still herding occasionally. But I must admit that, now, she’s little bit deaf (or pretending )
My girl A.J. lived to be 16 I believe, and she well wasn't the best looked after before we got her.
And even still she persisted on being an outdoor dog once we brought her home.
Ooh, we're doing that 'is he deaf or not' thing with my old boy, Murphy, at the moment, who will be 13 in August. He still looks good for his age, but in the last year, he has slowed down considerably. He has quite marked cateracts in both eyes, and had a small stroke in November, which he fully recovered from. He keeps quite close to me when we go walkies now.
